"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand." John 10:27-28

The faithfulness of God is the greatest thing I know! When you look back and see how the Lord provides for His children, it goes beyond my comprehension. In His sovereignty all things work together for good to those who love Him. Not that it always seems good at the time, but it is always right. So, as I reflect on how He has guided my steps, I become overwhelmed at the thought that by the incredible grace of God I am writing this.

As a 10 year old boy I believed in and trusted in Jesus Christ as my Savior. But that was where my spiritual growth had really stopped. Without any one on one discipleship in my life I was lead away eventually to a false sense of being a Christian without following Christ. A place where unfortunately, many church goers can be found. To know about the Truth but not grow in it and be set free by it is an empty place to be. Always seeking peace and satisfaction without finding it is the result. But praise God, He does not forget us or leave us alone. Like a Shepherd, He continually prods and nudges us to where we really need to be, safely in His care. That process took about 12 years for me and around the age of 22 I started to realize the emptiness of following my own way. It took another 3 or 4 years for me to really get it! But when I was finally at the end of myself I opened the Word and began my journey of following the Good Shepherd. Since I have made that decision to follow Jesus and forsake my own way, the road has not always been easy but it has been good. I started attending First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach at that time and that is where I first met Kara. I'd like to say it was love at first site, and it was for me! But it took her a little time to realize I was the one for her, but the Lord knows what He's doing and I have been blessed beyond words with a godly wife who encourages and challenges me to keep pressing on. Together Kara and I have seen God's sovereign protection and provision through many adversities and trials. After 10 years, three states, and numerous jobs and layoffs, the continual leading of the Good Shepherd has kept us. Just as the writer of Hebrews says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5) and that has certainly been true for us. I have made it my goal in life is to bring glory and honor to the Lord Jesus in everything He gives me to do, confident that there is no one who can snatch me out of His hand.

Thank you Lord for mercy and grace.
